FAQ – Scaffold Licence Courses in Australia

We offer training for three classes of scaffold licences:

  • CPCCLSF2001 – Basic Scaffolding Licence (SB Class)
  • CPCCLSF3001 – Intermediate Scaffolding Licence (SI Class)
  • CPCCLSF4001 – Advanced Scaffolding Licence (SA Class)

Scaffold training is classified as high-risk work and must be delivered face-to-face under direct supervision of a qualified Trainer/Assessor. While some pre-course theory may be completed online, all assessments and practical training are conducted in person.

We deliver scaffold ticket training in:

  • Melbourne (training centre)
  • Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, Shepparton
  • Onsite Australia-wide for group or corporate bookings.
  • Basic Scaffold Licence: Must be at least 18 years old and hold a White Card (CPCWHS1001)
  • Intermediate Scaffold Licence: Must hold a valid SB Class Licence
  • Advanced Scaffold Licence: Must hold a valid SI Class Licence
  • Basic Scaffold Ticket: 5 days
  • Intermediate Scaffold Ticket: 4–5 days
  • Advanced Scaffold Ticket: 4–5 days (Some durations may vary slightly depending on delivery format or onsite conditions.)

Upon successful completion, you will receive a Statement of Attainment and an Assessment Summary, which you can use to apply for your High Risk Work Licence through WorkSafe Victoria (or your local regulator).

Yes, you may reschedule with sufficient notice. Please contact our office at least 5 business days in advance to change your booking.

You have 60 days to complete any reassessment. Added training or reassessment sessions do incur a fee.

You should bring:

  • Steel cap boots
  • All other PPE (e.g. helmets, harnesses, vests) will be provided during the course.

Yes. If you have prior scaffold experience, we offer RPL pathways for all three licence levels. A formal competency assessment is still needed.

Yes, we provide onsite scaffold licence training for shutdowns, infrastructure projects, builders, and councils. Online consultations are available to plan group training.

Yes. All training is delivered in accordance with:

  • The Standards for RTOs 2015
  • WorkSafe Victoria licensing regulations
  • The National High Risk Work Licensing Framework
